Delete your data

You can ask PlayAssist to delete all the personal data we hold about you at any time. No reason needed.

Option 1: on WhatsApp (fastest)

  1. Open your chat with PlayAssist on WhatsApp.
  2. Send the message: DELETE MY DATA
  3. We confirm your request in the chat, then delete your data within 30 days, usually much sooner. You'll get a final confirmation message when it's done.

Option 2: by email

Send an email to privacy@get-playpal.com with the subject "Delete my PlayAssist data". Include the WhatsApp phone number you use with PlayAssist, in international format (for example +351 912 345 678). To protect your account, we may confirm the request on WhatsApp before deleting anything.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile: name, phone number, language, invite code and who invited you.
  • Your sports, levels and ratings.
  • Your home and travel locations, travel radius and availability.
  • Your conversation state and our log of messages with you.
  • Your links to matches, invitations and votes. Matches you took part in stay in our records only in anonymised form (with no name or number), so other players' match histories and levels stay correct.

What we may keep

We keep only what the law requires us to keep (for example, records needed to handle a legal claim), and only for as long as required. Data in our backups is overwritten within 30 days.

Leaving without deleting

If you just want a break, open the menu on WhatsApp → Profile → Pause invitations. You can also simply block the PlayAssist number.
